Single Source Supply Reducing costs
This need is not just relevant to the component, it also applies to the range of services needed including, for example, the need to reduce the supplier base. Reducing total cost of acquisition is a key part of the HSS offer to our customers.
We do this by :-
- Focusing on the total process, not just the initial component price – for example, it can be much more cost effective to purchase the recently engineered product, which may last far longer, than simply to replace the existing part.
- Reducing the number of purchase orders which our regular customers have to raise in trading with us. This reduction of the process cost of doing business saves money and, done in association with clear and auditable tracking processes, can be a significant support to busy purchasing departments.
- Delivering real and signed off cost-savings which help our customers achieve real and provable reduction of cost in the supply chain, for example, reducing the number of suppliers for MRO components and services
- Undertaking an evaluation of the parts which our customers purchase from original equipment (OE) manufacturers for service requirements – identify those that are standard items which can be sourced safely elsewhere and supply them at the best available price.
- Working with our suppliers to undertake an energy survey of your production facility – identify wastage and recommend products which could reduce unnecessary energy loss.
- Providing consolidated invoices to cover the purchase of products for a customer with multiple sites or with a requirement to order with multiple monthly purchase orders
- Extending the working life of the bearings, belts & pulleys, chains & sprockets, linear motion, motors, seals, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, clutches & couplings, tools & maintenance and health & safety products you use in your production plant by ensuring cost-effective certified repairs can be carried out when applicable.
